LOVE FOR TRADITION INTERPRETED THROUGH CENTURIES Built on the walls of the medieval market town of Solju, in a stunning canyon setting and overlooking the Cetina River, the Kaštil Slanica restaurant is filled with an authentic atmosphere. Opened a quarter of a century ago on the site of a tower that served as a salt market in the 16th century, the restaurant offers traditional Dalmatian cuisine and ancient dishes from the Dalmatian hinterland, and the offer is rounded off by a selection of the best Dalmatian wines.

As you approach Kaštil Slanica, entering deeper and deeper into the Cetina Gorge, whether by road or river, nature will inevitably begin to leave a deep impression on you. Arriving at the restaurant right on the river, where ducks, grebes and herons pass by among rushes, bamboo, poplars and plane trees, while a stunning mountain rises above them, you will be overwhelmed by a feeling of relaxation. You will almost not be able to believe that you are only 5 minutes from the sea and Omiš and in the immediate vicinity of larger cities such as Makarska and Split.

FLAVORS OF THE SEA, STINA AND CETINA
Our culinary offering is based on authentic Dalmatian cuisine, old family recipes, traditional methods of preparation and local, fresh, seasonal ingredients. Here you can taste real homemade bread baked in an oven and the traditional dish soparnik, a classic family holiday lunch – pašticada, sardine saur, eel brujet, frog, black cuttlefish risotto, dolce garbo and rožata brought to us by the old Venetians, and many other historical and local specialties. The selection of Dalmatian wine varieties pairs perfectly with the dishes offered, providing a true experience of Dalmatia through a gourmet experience.
