RENT-A-BIKE

In 2019, the municipality of Dugopolje put into operation the Nextbike system of public bicycles, a project co-financed by the Ministry of Tourism which encourages the development of cycle tourism infrastructure in less developed tourist areas. In 2022, the system was improved from the Split Urban Agglomeration project with the addition of new rental terminals and the purchase of new bicycles.

The public bicycle system allows users to rent classic city and electric bicycles at six locations; 4 locations in the settlement of Dugopolje – on the square dr. Franjo Tuđman in front of the House of Culture, in the parking lot in front of the Hrvatski vitezovi football stadium, at the Dračanica puddle/excursion, the Pelenjak-Kute sports field, the Koprivno sports center and the parking lot above the Vranjače cave. Currently, users have 20 classic city bikes and 20 electric bikes at their disposal, and bikes can be borrowed and returned to any of these 6 locations. The Nextbike franchise system of public bicycles is the first and largest such system in Croatia, and with Nextbike’s user account you can also rent bicycles in the neighboring municipalities of Klis and Dicmo, as well as in the cities of Split and Solin.
