North side of Mosor
In the harsh karst of Mosor and Zamosorje, it is easy to see the invisible. During the long winter evenings, stories about invisible beings and inexplicable phenomena were retold by the home fireplace. There was talk of terrible witches, nightmares and werewolves, but people always loved fairies – mysterious beautiful girls who live in mountains, forests, near springs and among the clouds. These elusive beautiful beings were often unconcieveable by the mind: fairies are sometimes good and sometimes evil, sometimes helpful, but sometimes
also malicious. Anyway, whoever meets them once, will certainly never forget them.

“Although Mosor looks like a stone desert, a closer look will reveal real natural wealth. Some of the local species and habitats are also recognized through the European ecological network Natura 2000, so the entire area of the mountain, together with Kozjak and Trogir zagora, is included in this largest worldwide network of protected areas.”
